Every September and December people are allowed to swim in the Devil's Pool
I feel really lucky to have discovered this famous blog called the nieniedialogues. It was written by a very young mother raised by mormons in Utah, and it's about her life with her husband whom she is obsessed with and her four very young kids. She is kind of like Anne of Green Gables. If you just check it out a little, you will be hooked. But very sadly, she and her husband are in the hospital recovering from 3rd degree burns, hers over 80% of her body, after a private plane crash. I have found so many cool blogs using google reader. This one called a cup of joe written by a writer for mags named Joanna Goddard is my favorite. Everything on it is great. These are some pics of her friends' Halloween costumes. They went as Mary Poppins and Burt. 
I just think this is cool. the swan is 240 years old. I can imagine a dad giving that to his daughter and her being like oh thankyou daddy!! or maybe Jafar giving it to the king and making him fall asleep--did that actually happen in aladdin? Imagine if all the statues at the house were automatons like this, and tinkly music like that was broadcasted from hidden rock speakers every day at noon.
